I got a little lucky this morning.
Jemez treated us good on the opener as well. Nice bird thanks for sharing it. Thought about Pecos for a second and then decided not too..
It’s funny that the tagging instructions on page 29 of the proclamation can’t be done they way it’s depicted in the pictures. Because the tags are not stickers.
What’s funny is I can never find anything to shoot in NM that’s as big as the damn picture they put on the cover yearly! It’s funny that the tagging instructions on page 29 of the proclamation can’t be done they way it’s depicted in the pictures. Because the tags are not stickers.
Come on now! Putting them on flimsy, non waterproof paper is the best idea in the world! Its too expensive to make them waterproof and sticky! Typical NM.I will say that this year the tags are not stickers. They are just paper and they really suck. The paper tears really easy. You better have a bag to put it in. I hope the big game horn tags and carcass tags are different. NM always doing things that don’t make sense. ?

To the OP, nice looking turkey! We will be on the bosque del apache for my son's hunt Saturday! Then hopefully the mountains for the afternoon Saturday for the adults. If it's too windy, head to Elephant Butte (after his eight hour hunt, or shooting two turkey) to get some fishing done and the boat ready for the next trip, if not taking it out Sunday.
They are the same as the turkey tags. They do suck but its what the vendor provided due to the paper shortage. Easy fix , I just carried zip lock snack bags and small zip ties to attach to the turkey leg. Hopefully the dept can get better quality tags next year , but then as with everything in America , prices have gone up so if paper has sky rocketed it will have to be paid for ...I will say that this year the tags are not stickers.
