Ever “heard” a buck drop? We saw this guy earlier in the day and got some pictures. Later on, we were walking a little ways from where we had seen him earlier and jumped him (still packing). He looked at us and took off through the trees, and we heard what sounded like antlers rattling. Thinking maybe he took off and knocked one off on a tree, we walked over to where he went into the trees, and, wouldn’t you know it, he dumped both sides! Don’t think we’ll ever get that lucky again ?

sweet ! what state did these sheds come from ?

Here in Nevada- can't even hunt until May 1st now - Closed/Illegal to possess antlers from Jan. 1 to Apr.30. But here's a few from last year in May- only time I was able to even get out and hunt!

I found this set earlier this year on my way home from a work trip down south. I embarrassingly walked feet from the second side about 30 minutes prior to finding the first side (if you look closely you’ll see my boot track with the shed in the background in the second photo).

If story/style points has anything to do with it, this is damn togh to beat! Even a quality 'on the hoof' pic to boot!

Tell the truth you knocked it off with a baseball bat while riding a snowmachine.
lol, I wish it were that easy!! I actually walked up on him and another buck bedded under a tree, he stood up and took a couple hops and it came off. Need to get back out and find the others, I found 3 singles in that spot, I think several were probably under the snow.

Didn't have much luck finding sheds but my boy found this one, well my wife did but she was with him so we let him think he found it, he is only seven?. Too bad it was chewed and broken up. G2 and G3 are chewed off and the cheater coming back between G2 and G3 had another cheater coming off of it, but chewed/broken off as well. Oh well still cool but would have loved to have found that 3 years ago.

Judging by the lichen on that antler I am betting you would have liked to find it at least 15 years ago.
real nice antler.

This deer grew up in a subdivision near busy roads. Had my 7 year old with me and I found first brown antler. Then for this year me and him was obsessed in finding other side. Finally found it. Lying under a bedding spot under an old semi trailer in someone’s backyard. My son was estatic finally matching him up. Gross scored 221.

Very nice antler. Cool getting kids outside picking up old cans, bottles, antlers getting them excited about that stuff.

I have been trying to let the dog pick up every brown I’ve walked up on this year, so I don’t have very good ATLs.. he’s running up to horns and standing by them, just doesn’t seem to get it that he’s supposed to bring them to me? Any advice for him would be appreciated! Here is a good day we had though!

That thing is a monster! Cool horn!

Don’t post so much background. Kenilworth gets enough attention these days. And there’s still not anymore bucks!

Says the guy that posted the location. I am not worried about it. The place gets pounced on by locals and torn up by dirt bikes, utvs, and 4 wheelers. I would be more worried about the impacts of that than a guy taking a picture of kids having fun, with an awesome background. We are not avid shed hunters we just go on hikes a couple times a week above our house and if we find them we pick them up.

I'd been watching a group of small bucks all winter- had to wait 'til May first to go out. Didn't find the ones I was hoping, but some "whities" from previous years. The small elk shed was a surprise!
