2021 DIY Alaska caribou hunt. One morning it was sunny and clear, the next it was snowy adding to the full Alaskan experience! The excitement of a successful harvest kept us from feeling any of the cold and fatigue during the pack across the tundra back to camp.

My Illinois public whitetail made NT P&Y and B&C by 5/8”. Arrowed with my compound bow 11/16/2021. Took many years of scouting, lots of luck, & stars aligning. Buck being blind on driver’s side didn’t hurt neither. Kid with cart bailed me out in 75 degree heat by carting him out the two miles.

Well heck, its an oldie in my younger days hunting with dogs- scanned from an Instamatic photo no less...back when I didn't have the $$ to buy a decent pack.

I finally figured it out that a pack was cheaper than the blood rotting out the stitching on a bunch of pairs of jeans and wrecking the seat covers on my truck.
