Colorado unit 40 bull

I was lucky enough to take this bull in Colorado yesterday. The hunt was hard and for a good portion of the time it was hard to even find elk and when I did find elk they were typically on private land. But on the 6th day of the hunt I got lucky and found this bull. I was able to make a few good shots and take my best bull to date. I’m thrilled with the outcome of the hunt and I’m grateful for the time spent with friends Also thanks to the members of this forum that help me out as well. I really appreciate it!

Nice job! There's some big elk in there but like you said they're mainly on private. To get that bull on public land, might as well be a 450 inch bull!!!! Nice job!

nice congrats that's a beauty! Ive been contemplating unit 40 recently. Ive got 8 points I want to dump so I may cross my fingers that I draw it? unfortunately I'm not likely to hunt with my bow this coming year? Double rotator cuff issues. May have to muzzle load? we'll see
