Summer Scouting Pays Off Again!!

I started scouting in the end of May and I was up in B-Zone at least once a week all summer long on either BLM or National Forest Land, and after missing a big buck by mere inches in archery I was able to harvest my biggest black tail to date yesterday. He is 20” wide, has double eye guards and one side and a 4.5” eye guard on the other. After all was said and done between scouting, archery season and rifle season I was in the woods over 30 days in total.

It is a great hunt when you kill the deer you know. Not like jumping anonymous pheasant out of the stubble. Nice job.
