Got lucky on a decent buck opening day. Pulled 2 cards from my cameras and they were filled with elk. I think this means I'll have a good year.

Congrats was one of my most memorable hunts taking a speed goat by spot and stalk! Too bad, I was only by myself not to share the sure excitement of the moment.

Getting to 200 was easy, not so much getting the next 100 from sage to willows. Once I got to the willows (crawling and butt scooching) it got real, I figured I'd get a shot. I made the next 45 quickly and peaked around willows and he was at 55 cheek rubbing a sage.
