How’s the hunting been in this unit this year? I understand it’s a lot of private and low numbers of animals. Just curious how it been for hunters this year. Is it super dry? Any snow? Any information is appreciated. Let’s hear how your hunt in this unit was, even if it was years ago.

Can't speak to 18A, but most of the state had minimal rain in August; the Monsoon was more of a "Nonsoon". Most of the water tanks I looked at this fall were dried up mud holes.

Sounds about right. Maybe if I can find water it will be worth sitting.

We are helping two late bull elk archery hunters. Both sat water earlier in the week with high day temps zero bulls. One guy tagged out yesterday with spot and stalk. He spotted a group of cows and small bulls and positioned himself near bedding cover.

Called 2 az bulls and 20 cows in today to 50 yards to bad I didn't have a tag

Good for you man. Theres a few class acts here in az that woulda sent bullets flying anyway. Especially if powerlines were nearby.

They were nice to look at it was my daughters first time have elk interact with her that close
