Finally after like 20 years you kinda of lose count after a while I drew a bull moose tag in Colorado!!!!!...I am working off some solid information and expanding it. Love to hear anything or even just see some Shiras moose posted...this will be my final "big three" in Colorado and want to make the most of this once in a lifetime opportunity and hunt....excited is an understatement!!!!

A buddy of mine had that moose tag a couple years ago and killed a really nice bull. I'll see if he minds if I post the pics.

I did in 2002 the unit has cratered from what I understand and they had a die off so much I went looking for dead heads No dead heads and no sheep...the Dow officer said they did'nt know what the die off was about...my guess is lions...but they can never say that casue they look great on t-shirts and coffee mugs. Its a shame use to be one of the best herds in the state.

Saw this bull in your unit on Sunday. Was hanging with a cow.

agreed. let's hear it!

Saw this bull while bowhunting mountain goat in same unit late Sept. A much bigger bull was arrowed by a hunter 500 yards from this one just before we saw this bull

A lot of talk but not much walk? Let's hear the good, bad and ugly AW? Maybe you're waiting till rifle season?

It was quite a journey....had a world class bull I found and a couple close to him... and looked for looked for long and hard again and some nice bulls I passed on if I hadn't seen number one I would have shot happily.....ended up with a medium sized bull when I finally clicked over to shoot to a first decent bull..... met some great people...some amazing country...pushed myself really hard beat up pretty hard and been cutting all day...have a first rifle elk season in Colorado I need to leave for tomorrow...I will post more later...
