Quite the interesting night. Trying some new hunting grounds that hold some decent bucks. I havent been able to archery hunt until this last Sunday. Fractured my hand a few weeks ago. Finally healed to shoot my bow. Day 2 they cut the corn feild which pushed the bucks across the river to cover which is my old stomping grounds.
Tonight this coyote came in at 600 yards. 10 min later he presented a perfect 30 yard shot. He went 10 yards and was done. I kept sitting on the haystack. Several does came in 7 minutes later and dropped one in her tracks at 15 yards.
The coyote was once trapped. He chewed a good 3 inches off his front leg. So my extra doe tag is filled. Now to fill my general hopefully soon so i can hunt Montana end of oct.
Ohhh the coyote stunk like hell to. Was horrible
