Young ram, find another that has broomed off the lamb tips.Mature rams have a more squared look to their horns when looking your way. Good Luck to the beginning of a great tag/hunt ... Bruce & SilverGrand

What is considered a good ram also depends on what unit you drew. There are quite a few units where a 150+ ram is considered a shooter.

very true.....but an 11 year old 150 is a much better trophy than a 4-1/2 year old 150 in my eyes.....that is where I place this ram....and only maybe 150

I’m no expert at scoring or aging rams, I was just pointing out that a lot more goes into it than yes or no.

I would say even though I’m far from pro at judging rams and the picture angle and quality isn’t great but it is a high 150 class ram, looks young and probably will be a much better ram in 2-3 more years

161 has been down from it's glory days, but I'm sure there are still some 160"+ rams on that mountain. I'd still keep looking past that young ram for something more mature.

I would guess he is a young ram also, this is a picture of my desert ram from California he was 12 years old and had a net score of 174 2/8 hope this helps for comparison
