I agree, if they buy commission tags or get their tags through the regular draw, do what you want. Exclude women, make fun of Native Americans all you want. Wear your orange bandanas and make total fools of yourself, whatever.
But, when any "hunt competition" is receiving a state wildlife asset, without going through the draw process like everyone else, you can expect criticism. In particular when that hunt excludes women, mocks the native culture, and has some cloudy accountability on where the funds go. Wyoming Wildlife assets should NOT be used to raise money for water projects in Texas, California, Oklahoma, Utah, Nevada, etc. etc. and even South Africa. You should expect to be held accountable and answer some pretty pointed questions about why that is happening. You should expect to see FOIA requests on fund accounting, etc. State wildlife is held in trust for the citizens of Wyoming and for the direct benefit of same. I don't care for my Wyoming wildlife assets being used as a tool to fund discrimination, fund projects outside Wyoming, etc. If Texas needs water projects, hold a one shot feral hog or circus animal hunt there...use Texas assets to fund your water projects.
The one shot hunt, past shooters club, and water for wildlife foundation should not be surprised that the rightful owners of Wyoming Wildlife have a big problem with the way they're conducting business. It should be expected and really, they should feel lucky they've gotten away with it this long.
The times, they are a changing...
