Trail cams

I guess I don't know how to answer that. Are you just talking about one that takes good night pics? The triggers and stuff are infrared, but I'm not sure about the image processing.

I like $150 coverts, bushnells, and brownings. All the new ones seem to take good pics day and night. Night pics are grainy and I do get more false triggers at night (I think that's probably a delay issue most times). Video mode seems to fix most of that, but I like jpegs.

I sleep better with cheaper cameras out there in the trees.

I've had good luck with Moultries. Most of my cameras are on public land so I go with the cheap versions when they are on sale. The ones I have typically give a battery indication when you pull or insert a card. They also start a countdown 10,9,8... to let you know it's ready after you insert the SD card. Night pictures are OK.

A couple of buddies have Wildgame. They have a narrower field of view, seem to take fewer pics, and when I put a card in, I never know if it is set up correctly.

If you want the most bang for your buck buy the 28.88 tasco 8mp from walmart. Takes good pictures and will last a year on lithium batteries. I run almost 100 trail cams and have moultrie, browning, reconyx, and spartan cams. The cheap tasco cams do fine and won't break the bank.
