Right on Eel...Couple of mine from the Marbles.....The Salmon mountains are amazing!!
Fished a couple off trail lakes......fish would follow you as you walked down the bank....bite bare hooks....never seen anything like it..

Offtrail, I always liked hiking and camping in the timber so the Marbles always drew me in. We camped and fished at many of the lakes and streams but I never did hunt there. I did a 10 day solo hike about 15 years ago. I hated to leave and part of me is still there mentally. I feel good knowing it is still all there for future generations.

Nice to know its off the beaten path...that part of the country doesn't get the hype and the attention of the great rocky mountains or the mighty sierras,...However,... I would say, from my experiences it has proven to be one of the last truly unspoiled places in the west, the big mountain experience in that neck of the wood can rival anywhere in the lower 48(- grizzly bears)......Even if one decides to venture to the great high country of north west Kali, the marbles, and other smaller wilderness areas surrounding will get overlooked, keeping them pure for the next gen.....
