I had the opportunity to get out to the ranch I am hunting here in Montana this past weekend. Things are looking pretty nice, grass has greened up nicely, still snow on the Crazies, creeks are running good. The area even has received some much needed moisture the last few days. We saw quite a few animals, mulies,, elk and antelope were quite wide spread, did not see any fawns or calves yet, but my guess in they will start dropping them any day. Saw one mulie buck that is going to be something special this fall I hope. I plan to get to the ranch another time or two this week and scope things out and try to learn as much as I can since it is the first year we have leased the ground. A couple of the other guys I lease with were sure impressed with the area, their excitement was evident the more time they spent on the ranch.
