There's a lot of outfitters in the Trans Pecos region and Panhandle region of Texas which have great aoudad hunts but I don't believe they're reasonably priced. There are also some really good aoudad hunts around and north of Del Rio in the Devil's River country. The large ranches in that area are hard to tap into unless you know someone...

I want to put a plug in for "Mulie Mike". I hunted on some of their ground in January this year. I felt like the hunt exceeded my expectations in a number of ways. I've had the good fortunate of having been on about a dozen bighorn/dall/fannin sheep hunts and this was just as rewarding in some really cool country. In my research, you can do a DIY hunt with Mike for significantly less money than the well known outfitters who hunt the same area. For what it's worth, I thought this would be a bucket list hunt but have to say...I am going to figure out how to go back again.

I book hunts for a buddy of mine in West Texas. Did the free range hunt this past November with a good friend...I got a 12 year old ram and my buddy got a 16 year old. Outstanding hunt for trophy rams...averages right around 12 year old rams. 18 gold medal rams in 2020. Best option for a one and done hunt as his rams have mass, age, horn length and outstanding chaps. Plus he'll be way pickier on your ram than you will be. Made me pass several 30 and 31 inch auodad because they didn't have enough age on them. For what he offers I considered it a very reasonably priced hunt. I recommend you looking into Caprock Outfitters out of Fluvanna, Texas. Robert Fowlkes is the owner and outfitter. Outstanding guy with an outstanding ranch to hunt. No frills hunt, but very reasonable. You can find him on Facebook at Caprock_Outfitters or email "[email protected]".

I’ll text pics to you of our BIG rams if you’re interested. We saw a ton of Gold Medal rams!
