I've had the older geovids,then the El Ranges and now am back with the now discontinued geovid HD-R's, they're a great hunting tool for sure, well worth it to me.

For those of you hunting the west this year what binoculars are you using?

Unless you had the el ranges side by side with the SV's I don't think you see a difference. I have the SV's and love them, and at one time also had the EL ranges, they are a fantastic tool. Weird thing was for me, because of being right eye dominant I had problems seeing the yardage read out...

right now there is a demo swarovski 65mm on gunsinternational.com for $1499 I'd buy that and consider myself very happy.

I have the exo 3500 and have been very happy with it. Used it this fall to pack 2 elk off the mountain and it did quite well. The pocket layout fits my style of hunting better than the kuiu and kifaru I had in the past.

So when on your western hunts what bino are you using and why?

On all 4 of my sako 75s I use the optilock lows and have been very happy with them.

Can a NR buy JUST a bonus point for sheep?

I've had great luck with the 140 accubond out of my sako .270, federal factory loads.They shoot good groups and so far with them I've shot 4 antelope , 1 mulie and several whitetails. Ranges from 60-251 yards.Works for me.
