If you guys haven't tried it, debone your whole bird. Put light and dark meat together and then grind with bacon. Wild turkey bacon burger is fantastic... game changer for everyone I know who has tried it. Use it as burgers, sausage, whatever, it is just good. Congrats to all that...

Aren't you making assumptions that you seem to understand why people are upset? I know why I am and that's enough to me. Reading 100 posts didn't improve my mood but it did confirm that most feel like I do about it. The guy was way out of line and he should be held accountable.

My son filed one of his tags this evening. Was a fun hunt. Took an hour to get the three toms I had gobbling to finally come in. He shot this one at 10 yards with no blind.

I have seen a few big deer stay high but from my experience most big deer stay just above the main big push... where there is good cover. They still have the instinct to migrate, but hunting pressure keeps them away from the masses.

I have bucks with great mass, and one with a bunch of kickers and a drop tine, but have never shot a really wide one. That tops my current hit list.
