I've had too many tags a few times, it's pretty awesome.

Hunting them in the timber on public land in Montana is pretty rewarding, shoot a fair few elk while hunting them as well. Very few people have those deer dialed.

Fill up with gas every morning and drive fs roads in or near creek bottoms. Even drive the highway going over the range. The tag is a can of corn, which is easier than a piece of cake.
