A 10 twist 257 will shoot up to 120gr lead and 100gr lead free bullets. The 80gr TTSX is a great bullet in the 257bob also.

The 722 has a 10 twist from the factory. One of the most overlooked cartridges IMO.

I do tape my barrel. I hunt in burnt and brushy areas and have had sticks in the muzzlebrake and muzzle before. Just a precaution now.

If you slip/fall and your muzzle gets packed with mud on your hunt what would you do?

If you are used to electrical tape I wouldn’t waste your money on them. They rip way to easy on brush.

Electrical tape works great. I have tested groups with tape and without tape and no POI change at all.

+1. Neck tension definitely is a great way to tune a load also. It does effect velocity a small amount.

A 300win barrel will last 1200-1500 rounds easily if you don’t shoot huge strings of shots. Keep the barrel heat down and it will last. You could shoot 100 rounds a year between practice and hunting and have it last 15 years. Replacing a barrel isn’t terribly expensive either.

I really don’t see the point of complaining/whining about the special fee increase. If a person doesn’t think it’s worth the special price at least they still have the option of regular fee. I will be applying in the special with hopes of increased odds and will pay the price. Hell people take...

They perform very well on game. My buddy is friends with the owner and several friends shoot them as well. Very consistent bullet also.
