Turns out a good friend drew 76-3 bull moose. A hard tag to fill, but better than no tag by a mile! May have to peel off of my overlapping archery elk hunt to lend a hand.

Watched a guy get nailed for shooting a mechanical deer on the wrong side of road (outside the unit) when it was his 12 year old kid that had the tag. Enjoyed seeing him caught.

💯 In this age of ever worsening odds to draw good/great/rare tags, only an idiot would not relish and celebrate family/friend draw success and hunts and hope to participate in same of feasible. The alternative is a LOT less fun with time spent on more pedestrian hunts and tags.

Maybe your map is not updated? On mine that parcel shows as pvt land owned by Robert Bray in Onx. If perhaps you had that area of map saved for offline, try updating it? I do see other parcels with the SWA polka dots but not this one... See the same thing (pvt land) in Gaia GPS Good luck.

Sheep down! That was quick, considering no scouting opportunity.

Ollin was a great upgrade from phoneskope for me. Much easier to use and quickly be taking photos and video. I see Ollin now has bino adaptor. Have not tried it yet.

The hunt is well underway and a bow is the weapon of choice so far. Be cool to see an average joe bowhunter wrap up his archery Big 9 Colorado species all with this golden ticket we all dream about.
