Been looking for a 1X scope for my upcoming hunt with little success. So today I contacted UT DNR and asked if I could modify a 1x4 scope so it is only 1 power. Guy said that they have had several calls wanting to know if this would be allowed. Short answer was “NO”.

I like the looks of the Aimpoint 9000 just surprised it’s not offered in a 1 MOA Dot. Actually not a lot of 1 MOA ones out there. I wonder if engineering wise its hard to produce.

As others have said 110 weight is heavy.

I drew a Muzzy mule deer tag in the Monroe this year. I have hunted the Fishlake but never the Monroe. Any insight on what I can expect in the unit there in the first week of NOV. Will the deer be moving down any by then. Any insight would be appreciated.

These old Weavers were good in there days but the glass was prone to yellowing. I have one of the old Weatherby scopes that were made by weaver and it has done the same thing. Still plenty functionable.

Totally agree. And that should be the mind set for all States. But as it relates to G the residents seem to think the solution is just to eliminate NR tags and not give up anything. It may take a few years of limiting resident tags also.

So you are endorsing putting outfitters in the unemployment line. 😳Maybe issue no resident tags until the numbers are back since they kill the largest "number” of deer. Or better yet set tag numbers and make it a draw for both resident and NR until herd recovery. To be honest we should not be...

Makes sense if your a NR and interested in a trophy caliber deer you hunt where you have the best chance.

This is only because of the high price of the LO tags. Make them a flat $1000 and see how that would change.

Other hunts always got in the way of using my CO deer points. Cashed 21 in last year on 67 3rd. Had a great time and saw a ton of deer but mature bucks were not to be found. Saw one true shooter and he was still on the bottom end of what I call good.
