My son is a truck driver, within the industry those guys say it is a total joke. All it does is turn darker diesel exhaust smoke lighter in color. A total waste of money provided by our federal government.
Imo, better advice is to figure out your power range and utilize that on your truck . I know I have to keep RPM's and tyranny gear in the right spot to best conserve fuel. I've got a 1999 F-250 (7.3) that I bought new with 250k+ and I love that truck. I get 10 mpg pulling a 29' fully loaded ...
Agree that Tikka is the best off the shelf rifle going. Bought the 6.5 Cm and its awesome. I've narrowed my big game hunting rifles down to 2, the Tikka for deer sized critters and smaller and a custom 300 win mag for the bigger stuff. Very happy as simple is better at least for me.
Stuck with having to convert my Paramount to iron sights, I chose to forgo CVA warranty and have my gunsmith tap the muzzle for a Williams sight. I don't shoot hot loads and really not worried I'll need the warranty.
What's the purpose in defining where animals are harvested? It's very simple, to properly manage the critters taken in said unit, not complicated imo. Where the shot originated is irrelevant, infringing on private property is another issue.
I'm happy with my Havalon, it's true that sometimes I need a second blade on an elk. No trash left in the feild ever !!! You guys got me thinking about the need to get one quality knife from RELH to pass on to my son.
I'll start with the one critter Not to eat Ibex!! My dog wouldn't eat it.
Lots of great wildgame , probably 80% of the meat we eat is from the feild excluding chicken.
1. Elk
2. Moose
3. Whitetails
4. Mule Deer , not sagebrush kills
5.Antelope
6. Barbary sheep
Haven't ever tried mtn...
Took a look. Curious how you secure antlers, thats a big hole at the pedicule. The website doesn't have any details that I saw about how antlers attach. Does kit come with screw/bolt hardware?
Congrats to all you folks who drew, make memories!!! My son didn't draw but the fall will still be great...Colorado muzzy deer / Utah antelope and 10 days in Wyoming just checking out how things might have changed since my hunt there in 2018 . Hopefully my son draws next year.
Praying that my son draws his Wyoming elk tag, going to be a challenge in scheduling as I drew a Utah antelope tag . Unfortunately my tag dates are right when we want to be chasing elk in Wyoming end of September/ first part of October. If he draws plans will center around his hunt. Fortunately...
Yahoo!!! Chasing a speed goat in SRN with my muzzy. I'll hold out for a good one, those of you who are in the know...I'm I crazy to think an 80 incher is out there.?
I use OnX in the field, lots of valuable information already stored on it. GoHunt is excellent for draw odds and information, I really haven't used their mapping stuff much.
My heart along with the MM faithful breaks , tough to share you and your families tragedy. This fallen world is at times horrible but the good news is this world is not our home. The Bible tells us our earthly bodies are just a temporary dwelling "a tent" and our lives here a but a quickly...
Well done again Blank, steak is perfect. Fortunately our garden is starting to pump out asparagus, fresh is 1000x better than store bought, thats until I go take a wiz.
We would hike from Anchor mine into the Van Diest peak area, back then not many were willing to put out that effort. If I had that tag I'd explore that option again. Hunt the edge of the Valle Vidal, granted things might have changed but I doubt it.
I fell in love with elk hunting in unit 53 when I was a young man. I had zero experience elk hunting but had an encounter up there that hooked me for life. I had been sitting a wallow with no action, heard what I thought was a Texas novice hunter bugle ( sounded like an elephant) after a...
Not sure the Leupold are crap, to the contrary imo. I put a VX-6 4×24 illuminated reticle with CDS on my 300WM. Love it , agree with Pickett and don't buy a marginal scope that you will someday upgrade and waste money. I was fortunate and got in the VIP program with Leupold which dropped my...
The problem is that some (not all) scientists go into a study with a predetermined outcome, it's hinged on where they get their funding. Climate change and Covid prime examples. Who in the heck thought masks could deter this minisquel virus which doesn't slow down one bit getting through the...
I for one will take my chances, CWD won't charge my application strategies one bit. Love it when Flaming libs are called out for their foolishness..just saying.
