No his bear was harvested the second week of September.

I didn't receive any credits but went 1 for 2 in the draws. I'm not seeing a trend here for a new "back door" method. However, I have however noticed that the credits appear to possibly be related to youth applicants????

My elk points just went up so no archery elk tag for me. That's ok with me though since I drew early rifle deer (9/7-9/15) and my son recently drew an elk tag for SD that starts 9/15

how are you guys finding out that you drew for elk? CC hits? emails? other?

I put in for the early season deer hunt this year as it is the earliest it has been in the past 4 years. better chance at some fuzzy antlers.

Up until last Friday I was praying for either my early season deer tag or archery elk tag. However on Friday, my son found out that he drew one of only 4 prairie elk tags for here in South Dakota. His season opens Sept 15th and so now I'm hoping I don't draw either of my two tags.

They can create any system they want to “print money”. Like charging $150 just to apply.

I have struck out in all the draws so far haven’t pulled a tag yet this fall. I will buy a few tickets.
